Goals for this term

Today I will be Talking about my Goals! 

Goal  1: Is to try and keep up to date with my work.

Goal 2: My second goal is to listen to the teacher, not get distracted when I am doing my work.

Goal 3: Sit in the right place and not get distracted when the teacher is talking!

I Set these goals because sometimes I am not up to date with my work .

I Set this goal because Sometime I get distracted and moved on the mat, so maybe I could try to sit in some different places. 

This goal is like the last one trying to not get distracted and focusing on my work!

Art

This term for pbl we have been learning about discrimination.
 For the the last couple of weeks we have been working on some art to do with racism.
 Our art has  a slogan, quote, song lyric, story or a poem! My Slogan is... Up-stander by-stander witch one are you? And my quote is... Laundry should be the only separated by colour! I choose these quotes because they are quit inspirational, and I thought they stood out,

Cross Country 2019

Cross country 2019

This year for cross country we had to run 3 km, The day before cross country I fell over and rolled my ankle, I did not end up doing cross country, Me and a couple of people that could not do cross country had a job to hand out 1st, 2nd,3rd for the races, it was really cold down at the park, we had to stand the whole time, but it was actually a bit better than doing cross country, at the end of the day we walked back to school and it was over, i have so cold when i got back from school, That's cross country 2019

How can we speak up aginst discrimination?

How can we speak up against discrimination?
For pbl this term our driving question is how can we speak up against discrimination? The stereotypes that we are learning are, sexist agblism ageism and racism,  my self I think that discrimination is terrible and it needs to be fixed as soon it possible, and you might now see it but it is defiantly going on in the world.  Here are some of our sub question?

-What are Human rights?
-What are the different types of discrimination?
-What is discrimination?
-what does an up stander do?
-what are stereotypes or bias?

Digi awards

For the last couple of week we have been work on our Digi awards. I'm in a group with Harriet and Ella, we have been working on a website for Digi awards.
Our question for PBL is...What is greatness? we went to lots of different works shops about great people. My group has decided to make a website with different kinds of greatness videos ad other things. We also made our own videos of being great! Just like picking up rubbish or helping someone, those small things do matter and they are great!  Our hub has to preform our Digi awards next Tuesday from around 6 till 8 at night!

For the past term starting from week 1 it is the year 7's first time experiencing technology, All of the kuepeka students go on a Monday afternoon, once we arrive we go to our class rooms and start working, I am in plastics right now with a couple of my friends.  Next term I Might be in sowing, woodwork's or food, In plastics I have made 3 different things, I have made a dice,key chain  a phone stand, and my  latest it like a decoration it is called a swirly worlly  it usually take like two Monday to make something, but it depends if you on task.

Today I will share with you our st Francis of Assisi values, These our our school values. Respect,Service,integrity and Compassion. We always strive and give it our best to use thees values at our school everyday.

Respect: As children of god we strive to show reverence for all human kind, we embrace uniqueness and diversity.

Service: The action of helping of doing work for someone.  a system supplying a public need such as transport communications  or utilities.

Integrity: Of being honest an honest leader of this school, and having strong moral principals

Compassion: That we should love our neighbours  as much as we love ourselves, and that we should look after all people of our school, we seek for empathy forgiveness and peace in our community school and in the world
